Sustainability

Sustainability and respect for the Island's beautiful coastline are at the heart of my work.

I only collect Isle of Wight seaweed, which I sustainably forage by hand along the shoreline and in rock pools at low tide, following Natural England's guidelines. I carefully select only detached drift seaweed, taking small amounts that I feel will press well.

The Isle of Wight is home to a network of Marine Protected Areas that safeguard important seaweed habitats, making responsible foraging an essential part of my process.

Each piece of seaweed is carefully hand-pressed by me using traditional methods to preserve its natural beauty.

I aim to minimise environmental impact at every stage of the process, from working with local suppliers and printers to using eco-friendly, recyclable and FSC-certified materials.
